Welcome to SmartQR Pro. Your privacy is very important to us. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application (the "App").

1. Information We Collect

To provide a functional and reliable QR scanner and generator utility, the App requires access to certain features of your device:

• Camera Access: The App requires access to your device's camera to scan and decode QR codes and barcodes. Camera frames are processed locally on your device and are not uploaded to any remote servers.
• Storage Access: The App may access your local storage to save generated QR codes or to load images containing QR codes from your gallery for scanning.
• Local History: The App stores your scan and generation history locally on your device. This data is kept in local app storage and is never uploaded, shared, or sync'd to external servers.

2. Advertising (AdMob)

Our App displays advertisements integrated via Google AdMob to help fund development. AdMob may collect and process device identifiers, location data, and other usage information to personalize and serve ads. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visits to our App and/or other sites on the Internet.

3. Third-Party Services

Except for Google AdMob for serving ads and Google Fonts (which loads custom interface fonts), we do not share, sell, trade, or transfer any of your personal information to outside parties. All app functionality works offline without remote database collection.

4. Data Retention and Security

Since we do not run or maintain any centralized database server or cloud databases for user data, we do not store your private data on our end. Your history and scanned items reside 100% on your local phone storage. If you uninstall the App, this history is permanently deleted from your device.

5. Children's Privacy

Our App is compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and are aware that your child has provided personal data, please contact us.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We advise you to review this page periodically for any changes. Any modifications are effective immediately upon being posted.
